Frequently asked questions
Practical answers about starting, sharing, and managing your practice website.
Why do I need a website for my practice?
Patients often have questions before they contact you: What do you treat? What is your experience? Where do you practise? A website gives them one place to find clear answers, understand your approach, and decide whether to get in touch.
It also gives you a single link to share with referring colleagues and patients, with your qualifications, services, clinic details, and appointment information together. You can update that information as your practice changes.
Do I have to market my website?
You need to help people find it, but that does not have to mean paying for advertising. Start by adding your website link to your professional profiles, email signature, appointment messages, and clinic materials. Share it with patients and referring colleagues when it is useful.
Keep your contact details and services accurate so visitors can take the next step. Publishing a website alone does not guarantee traffic or appointments; start with the channels your patients already use before deciding whether paid promotion is worthwhile.
What happens if I do not have a website?
Your practice can still grow through referrals and other channels. Without a website, though, someone looking you up may have to piece together information from directories, social profiles, or hospital listings. Those pages may leave out details or show information you cannot update yourself.
Your own website gives those people a clear destination for checking your background, finding your clinic, and learning how to request an appointment. It supports the trust you have already earned through your work and referrals.
How do I create my website using Docvani?
Select “Create your site” and continue with your Google account. Choose an available website address and fill in your practice details. In the dashboard, add your profile photo, qualifications, services, and contact information. Add your schedule if you want patients to request appointments.
Choose your layout and theme in Settings, then preview your website. In Billing, claim your plan or complete payment before selecting Publish on the dashboard. You can start with the essentials and add articles, photos, and other content later. Watch the getting-started video above for a walkthrough.
Can I change how my website looks?
Yes. Open Settings in your dashboard to choose a layout and a ready-made look, or adjust the colour palette, typography, and corner style. You can also choose light mode, dark mode, or a setting that follows the visitor’s device preference.
You can change these choices after publishing, and switching layouts keeps your existing content. Preview the result to see how your photos and text work with the design. No coding is needed to use the available appearance options.
Can I edit my website myself?
Yes. Sign in to your Docvani dashboard, open the section you want to change, and use its form to update your content. You can edit your profile, clinic contact details, services, credentials, photos, blog posts, and more without writing code.
Save your changes and check your website to confirm the details are correct. Blog posts and treatment pages can be kept as drafts until you are ready to publish them. Make a habit of checking your clinic details and schedule whenever they change.
Can you edit my website for me?
If you would like help making changes, email us at info@docvani.com. Include your website address, the pages or sections you want updated, and the text or images you would like to use.
We will review your request and let you know how we can help, including any scope, timing, or cost, before work begins. You do not need to share your Google password to ask for help.
Why should I write blog posts for my website?
You do not need a blog to launch your website. Useful articles can, however, answer questions you hear repeatedly in consultations and help patients prepare. Start with one real question, such as what to bring to a first visit or what to expect during a procedure, and explain it in plain language.
A few accurate, helpful articles are more valuable to patients than frequent posts written just to fill space. Keep them current and focused on general education rather than individual diagnosis. Posts also give you useful links to share with patients, but they do not guarantee search rankings or new appointments.
